John E. Kanter is a Healthcare executive with United WestLabs Inc, responsible for all operations on the Eastern Seaboard. He has been involved in the Real Estate, Banking and Finance industries since graduating from University of Miami in 1984 with a Bachelor’s Degree in International Finance & Marketing. Mr. Kanter joined Bank of Florida in Miami, located in South Miami Florida, where he became the bank’s Vice President and was elected to the Board of Directors. In February 1989, Mr. Kanter was appointed Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer of Bank of Florida In Miami, responsible for the coordination of the bank’s business development activities, as well as Commercial/Residential loan administration. In April 1996, Mr. Kanter successfully negotiated the profitable sale of Bank of Florida In Miami, to Bankunited, F.S.B., located in Coral Gables, FL. Mr. Kanter has been involved in the management of an Offshore Hedge Fund, International Bancorp, and has continued to pursue his interests in the Real Estate and Mortgage Banking industries.
John resides in Miami Beach, Florida. He is married and is the proud father of three children. His other interests include fishing, diving, reading, and tennis.
